A beautiful and memorable melody is first introduced by the violins and gradually grows amid changing textures and harmonies ultimately leading to a soaring and dramatic climax. The music then ends as it began, with a gentle breeze, quietly fading away amid the setting sun. The optional piano and percussion parts enhance the expressive qualities of this piece making it a superlative choice for concert or festival use. A valuable addition to young orchestra repertoire.
